Fast and Furious 7 Movie Cast Latest News: Paul Walker's Brothers Taking Over Role

Paul Walker's brothers will complete his portion of the seventh installment of the "Fast & Furious" film series that he was not finished filming before tragically dying in a car accident last year.

Walker, the 40-year-old actor who played Brian O'Conner in the popular car racing films, was the passenger in a vehicle driven by a friend before they both lost their lives. After the film resumed shooting last month, the "Fast & Furious 7" Facebook page posted a message about his brothers Caleb and Cody Walker filling in for their late brother.

"Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for Fast & Furious 7, and it's among the strongest work of his career," the Facebook message reads. "We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul's brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our Fast family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too."

The message also highlighted the importance of family in the film.

"The Fast & Furious saga is about family," reads the post. "The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans."

It was not easy for Walker's cast members to deal with his death. Vin Diesel, the actor who co-starred with Walker since the beginning of the "Fast and Furious" film series in 2001, took to Instagram to react to the sad news.

"Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless," Diesel wrote when news broke about the actor's death. "Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."

Ludacris, the rapper and co-star of the "Fast and Furious" film series alongside Walker, posted a poem for the late actor on his Instagram account.

"Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P," the rapper wrote.

Tyrese, the R&B singer and Walker's co-star in the "Fast and Furious" film series, called for prayer while dealing with the loss of his friend.

"My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real," Tyrese wrote. "Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family."
