'Peaky Blinders' Release Date, News: Show May Return Around October 2017
The gangster drama series "Peaky Blinders" has been met with much critical acclaim with its bold concept and unflinching characters, and so fans are wondering when it will likely return to bedazzle audiences once more. Fortunately, it looks like viewers will have to count mere months until they are indulged in another season of drama and plot twists.
According to Birmingham Mail, shooting for season 4 is set to get underway anytime soon, and that the cast and crew of the show will be getting together to start. "If filming goes to plan, it is likely to take around four months," it says, and then after post-production it should be seen sometime in October.
What can fans expect from the new season though? If anything, Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, will still remain to be the headstrong leader who is unafraid of death. Murphy tells The Guardian that this is exactly what makes him formidable and scary, calling him "Godless" even.
Does this mean, however, that he will be killed in season 4? This is highly unlikely though, considering the weight of his role and the series, and he has been considered as the most bankable star of the show. It simply wouldn't be the same if he won't be around for season 5, so fans can count on that.
If there is something that the viewers can be assured of, it is that Tom Hardy's Alfie Solomons is definitely part of the cast. Scriptwriter Steven Knight event told Deadline that they won't be able to do a season 4 without the scene-stealing Alfie, so that's another thing fans can expect.
"Peaky Blinders" is definitely a crowd pleaser, and is one for the books. It has been renowned that it has garnered a whopping 100 percent in Rotten Tomatoes for its second season, and that will be a tough act to follow when it returns for its third installment.
