Peeping Tom Christian Hobbs Arrested After Hiding in Woman's Bathroom for 2 Days
The story of peeping tom, Christian Hobbs, has stunned Americans after the 44 year old man was arrested for hiding under the bathroom floor of a trailer home for two days so he could spy on and videotape the woman living there.
The man, from Cape Cod, was spotted by the woman on Wednesday evening peering up at her from a small air duct in the bathroom floor in her trailer home.
The woman has been reported as saying, "I thought there was animal in my house and I went to go surveil the area. And that's when he revealed himself."
When he was seen Hobbs simply said, "Hello," according to police.
The woman immediately ran and called 911 as Hobbs fled the scene. He was found by police walking down a nearby street and admitted to his crime without hesitation.
Hobbs had in fact owned the trailer a few years back before selling it to the woman. He had been at the trailer a few weeks ago for the woman and had installed two baby monitors in the trailer home.
However, according to police, Hobbs later returned to the home and crawled under the trailer. He cut small holes in the floor and floor vent in the bathroom of the property. Hobbs admitted to police that he had been under the floor for two days and had lived there with food and drink while watching and recording the woman in the bathroom.
Police had reportedly recovered 16 short video clips of the woman from the man. Some of the video footage also included shots of the woman's toddler son naked in the bathroom as well.
Hobbs was arraigned on Thursday and held on $25,000 bail. He is charged with numerous offenses including prowling, criminal mischief, violation of privacy, unlawful wiretapping, manufacture of child porn, criminal trespassing, and burglary.
