Peggy Carter to Appear in 'Avengers 4'?

Actress Hayley Atwell might have hinted that the well-loved Peggy Carter will appear in the upcoming "Avengers" movie.

Although Carter had already died of natural causes as seen in "Captain America: Civil War," there are a variety of ways for the agent to return. One of which is through flashback.

Not much is known about the "Avengers" film. But one thing is for sure. Principal photography for the next Marvel flick is underway, and it has been ongoing in Atlanta, Georgia. So when Atwell made in known that she is in Georgia, many have come to suspect that it is for the movie.

Through Instagram, Atwell shared a snap of a hot drink and a book she is reading, "The Love Story Behind Gone With the Wind" and captioned it, "Sunny afternoon in Georgia."

Prior to this, Atwell shared a photo of herself with CGI dots all over her face. If Agent Carter is to appear in "Avengers," the facial expression trackers should be for aging and de-aging effects during the post-production process.

In the photo, Atwell also had hair rollers on, presumably for Carter's vintage hairdo.

"Don't question my process. It's very serious #setlifethuglife," she wrote.

Again, though Carter had already died in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Atwell is still considered one of the franchise's stars. Earlier this month, she partied with other Marvel stars such as Paul Bettany and Coby Smulders. She was also seen with "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi and with Louis D'Esposito, co-president of Marvel Studios.

Marvel's "Avengers" films are not going to hit the big screen anytime soon. Fans, however, can check out "Thor: Ragnarok" next week, which is said to be the best and funniest "Thor" film yet. Following the Chris Hemsworth-led flick, Chadwick Boseman's "Black Panther" opens in February.
