'Penny Dreadful' Season 3 News, Cast, Spoilers: Ethan Chandler Will Be Under the Spotlight
The exciting finale of "Penny Dreadful" season 2 had everyone wanting for more. After Ethan Chandler (Josh Harnett) abandoned his knight and shining armor role beside Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), many have been asking how the two will fare and how their story will be told separately.
According to Youth Health Mag, although Green's portrayal of Vanessa this season may be her most enigmatic one to date, it seems that much of the focus will shift between her and Ethan Chandler, who is supposedly on his way to the Americas. It is reported by Movie News Guide that Ethan's history as well will be explored as to how his transformation into a werewolf had come about. If the past seasons are of any basis, it may seem that Ethan's problem may be a common family trait.
Of course, Vanessa Ives won't fully disappear in the story line. From the description of Green on the production set of the latest "Penny Dreadful," it was noted that Vanessa was looking much worse than in previous seasons. Perhaps with Ethan gone, Vanessa has to deal with her problems alone, and after what she had faced in season 2, it can only be expected that Vanessa will be dealing with a strong force of evil come season 3.
One of the things people are wondering is if they will get a chance to see Sembene again in the third season. He has been a staple character in the past, and without him, Sir Malcolm may easily succumb to whatever is surrounding him. After all, being his man and confidant, Sembene was the one who snapped Sir Malcom from the spell he's under during the last season. Danny Sapani, who plays Sembene, was recently asked by UInterview, on future appearance for Showtime's original horror series, to which he replied, "I can't really answer that. The honest answer is possibly. There is definitely a lot more to explore with Sembene in terms of his backstory and his own sort of dark secrets. It's horror, people come back, people die and are resurrected, so you know that would be. I think we have to leave that one open."
