"In the first episode, we're in London, Africa, America, and the Arctic. That'll tell you about season 3," the showrunner said.

Logan further elaborated to the media outlet why he pushed through with multiple new territories. According to him, "it was necessary to find some exciting variations for the characters, for the audience, and certainly even for myself as a writer."

He revealed to EW that it was his plan all along to bring Ethan Chandler back into his homeland and had him confront his demonic father because of the fact that he loves anything that has to do with the Old West.

Despite the diaspora, Logan still finds it easy to "weave" through the "different geographies" because basically, they're still dealing with the same characters.

Logan, who reportedly wrote every episode of the season, went on to say that "Penny Dreadful" is about "Vanessa's relationship with God" and her "journey to faith." She lost this piece of her in the previous season and fans should expect to find her in such a mess once again.

"…from the wasteland of non-belief, she has to find a way back into some faith — faith in herself, faith in God, faith in her friends," the EP said.

"Penny Dreadful" Season 3 features the acts of Josh Hartnett as Ethan Chandler, Eva Green as Vanessa Ives, Timothy Dalton as Sir Malcolm, with the special appearances of Patti Lupone (who starred in Season 2 as the Cut-Wife) as Dr. Seward, just to name a few.

The new installment premieres Sunday, May 1 at 10 on Showtime.
