The actress, who also played Kate Reed in USA's legal drama "Fairly Legal," has been on maternity leave from the CBS scripted drama at the middle of its Season 4 run.

March 1 of this year, she gave birth to twins: daughter Violet Moon and son Knox Blue.

As for her character's storyline, the wife to actor Steve Howey admits she has "no idea what the plan is."

TV Line's earlier interview with the cast and crew of the show at the Comic-Con 2015 lounge session reveals that the order for the new season was shortened to 13 episodes. However, executive producer Greg Plageman said that "for us, we feel we have a lot more stories to tell."

"We think the show can go on … but the way we have to approach it narratively is we have to write in such a manner that this finale could be the series finale as well," the executive producer explained.

"We write every season finale as it could be a series finale. That's what we gonna do this year, too," Plageman continued.

"Person of Interest" Season 5 is slated to premiere during the 2015-16 television season.
