'Person of Interest' season 5 news, cast, spoilers: Is season 5 the last or could more be expected from the show?
In the last San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and crew of "Person of Interest" (POI) had been more than pleasant in entertaining the press about the questions on whether the show is headed for the end this season.
Showrunner Jonathan Nolan didd not give any concrete answers during the convention; however, he did say something that seems to imply that he, as well, is ready for the show to end if this upcoming season would be their last. He shared, "I can't predict down the road but we're very proud of the show and if it's the last season, no one is going to be disappointed with the story we tell."
According to MStarz, main stars of the show Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi), and Root (Amy Acker) will be attending the 2015 New York Comic convention. This will give the POI cast and crew more opportunity to clear up the rumors. A special video presentation will be shown to attendees, as well as a Q&A portion, for the said stars, with addition to Kevin Chapman (Fusco).

The news of the show's end came about when it was announced that instead of the usual 22–23 episodes, it will only be getting 13 episodes this season. Although no official statement has been made yet, it is speculated that if it won't be canceled, then it would more likely be getting a reboot. However, if previous shows would be used as a basis, it's more likely that the 13 episodes will have the chance to wrap up any cliff-hangers.
Executive producer Greg Plageman gave fans an idea on what could be expected this season in a recent interview, saying, "I think we'd like to explore particularly this season is, what happens when someone, you know, is able to transfer some of that burden to others, but also when something so dramatic happens that there may become a shift in the character that we haven't seen before."
Person of Interest returns to CBS in 2016.
