'Persona 5' News: Learn More About the Velvet Room and How It Helps Players
'Persona 5's' Velvet Room will be occupied by Igor and wardens Caroline and Justine
The Velvet Room has been an important element of past "Persona" games, and in "Persona 5," this series staple will remain helpful to players.
The latest version of the Velvet Room won't be exactly similar to the ones previously featured, however, as even the people who occupy it have changed.
Igor, the mysterious being who has appeared multiple times throughout the series is back again, but this time around, he is joined by some new characters.
Caroline and Justine are the wardens of the Velvet Room and while they may not be the most accommodating hosts, players will still need their help if they are going to make it far in the game.
That's because Caroline, Justine and Igor - to some extent - are the ones who help the players manage their Personas inside the game.
A new trailer released recently for the game even shows the different things players can do with their Personas while they are in the Velvet Room.
For instance, players can sacrifice Personas they have under their control so that they can fuse together and produce an even more powerful ally.
"Persona 5" players can also use the feature known as Network Fusion, in search of more Personas.
A press release reveals more about the different functions of the Velvet Room, and a recent report from PlayStation Lifestyle has the important details.
Beyond creating new Personas who can be helpful in battle, it is also possible for players to power them up in different ways while they are inside the Velvet Room.
One more thing, the Velvet Room in this game looks significantly different from the ones featured in earlier titles as it resembles a kind of prison.
Players in North America will finally be able to take a trip back to the Velvet Room as soon as "Persona 5" is officially released on April 4.
