Peru vs Uruguay Live Stream Free Football: Watch Online World Cup 2014 CONMEBOL Soccer
Peru vs Uruguay takes place in the CONMEBOL World Cup 2014 qualifiers on Friday night with both teams gearing up for the final run in to their qualification campaigns. The game is scheduled to kick off at 10.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Peru currently sit in a lowly 7th place in the CONMEBOL qualifying group, having managed to gain just 14 points from their 12 matches so far. However, they still have four games to go before the qualifying campaign comes to an end, which means they still have 12 possible points up for grabs.
If they can go on a four match win streak now they could potentially end with 26 points which would leave them in a much healthier position to try and claim a qualification spot for Brazil 2014.
However, beating Uruguay may be easier said than done. Uruguay currently sit in fifth place in the group and know they must improve to confirm their spot in the World Cup Finals next year.
The top four sides will automatically qualify for next year's competition and the fifth spot will have to enter a playoff against the AFC's fifth placed team. Uruguay will be desperate to avoid a playoff and will want to have a good surge now to move into the top four spots.
Uruguay gave a good showing at the FIFA Confederations Cup and will look to use that as a building block to now finish off their World Cup qualifying campaign well.
Exactly one year ago, Uruguay lost 4-0 against Colombia and started a run of six straight games without a win. However, things are now looking brighter and the team broke that bad run recently by beating Venezuela in a qualifier.
