Phoenix Suns NBA Trade and Roster Rumors: Suns in a Malcolm Brogdon for Eric Bledsoe Trade

The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly one of the teams interested in acquiring Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe. But if they want to land the eight-year pro, they may have to put together a package around one of their promising core players.

According to the Racine Journal Times' Gery Woelfel, the Suns want second-year guard Malcolm Brogdon to be part of a potential package for Bledsoe. However, the Bucks don't want to part ways with the 2016-17 Rookie of the Year.

"The scuttlebutt is, if the Suns got their way, they'd acquire Brogdon and either veteran big man John Henson or former Suns forward Mirza Teletovic," Woelfel said. "But sources claim the Bucks are somewhat reluctant to trade Brogdon, whose all-around game, unselfishness and maturity have meshed nicely with Antetokounmpo and Middleton," he added.

Woelfel also noted that the Bucks prefer to move Matthew Dellavedova, but the Suns don't seem to be interested in the Australian guard.

"But sources said the Bucks are, at least for now, dangling veteran guard Matthew Dellavedova, who started 54 games last season and averaged 7.6 points and 4.7 assists, instead of Brogdon. The Suns are balking and appear adamant on wanting Brogdon," Woelfel stated.

Well, first of all, Dellavedova's around the same age as Bledsoe, so they are not getting a younger player in return if they pull the trigger on that trade. And he's also nowhere close to the player Bledsoe is. Some teams have reportedly said the Suns' asking price for the guard is too high, but it appears that they have been receiving some lowball offers as well from potential trade partners.

The Suns probably won't get equal value for Bledsoe. However, they are going to try their best to get good value in return if they trade the disgruntled point guard.

Meanwhile, Woelfel said the Suns have shown interest in Denver Nuggets guard Emmanuel Mudiay.
