Piper Perabo Weds 'Covert Affairs' Director in NYC
Piper Perabo who stars on "Covert Affairs" married her director and producer boyfriend Stephen Kay in New York City over the weekend.
The newlyweds, who both work on the hit USA television series, got engaged in September last year. They first met on the set of "Covert Affairs," which is currently in its fifth season. Details about their "covert" wedding on Saturday remain unknown, but it was revealed that a New Orleans band played at their reception, according to People magazine.
Days after the July 26 nuptials, Perabo released one photo from the special day, according to Us Weekly. The image reveals the overjoyed bride and groom smiling at one another while several colorfully-clad guests walked behind them on a NYC sidewalk.
Furthermore, the photo revealed Perabo's unique wedding dress. The full-length, long-sleeved gown featured a silver and nude pattern, and the 37-year-old actress paired the look with a yellow veil and a bouquet of white roses. Alternately, the "Covert Affairs" director and executive producer donned a blue three-piece suit paired with a gray hat.
Perabo portrays CIA operative Annie Walker on "Covert Affairs." The Golden Globe-nominated series also stars Christopher Gorham and Kari Matchett. Ahead of the season five premiere last month, series creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord revealed changes in Perabo's Annie.
"[Annie] is facing some major challenges, both personal and professional," Corman told TVLine. "We'll see, right off the bat, we're changing the paradigm a little bit."
Watch Perabo on "Covert Affairs" on USA Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST. The synopsis for this week's episode, "Embassy Row," is as follows: "Annie accepts an invitation to the Russian Embassy while undercover in Paris. Elsewhere, Auggie juggles her relationships and Joan unravels the details of Arthur's latest business trip."
