What her representatives seek is to have Middleton promoting fitness and paying visits to youth sports organizations prior to the Olympic Games.

Middleton is frequently engaged in sports-related activities and is often admired for her slender figure.

In June 2011, Middleton made headlines for competing in a triathlon and several road races.

She competed in the Highland Cross Challenge, where she ran and cycled 50 miles coast to coast. The race, which is divided into a 20-mile run and a 30-mile cycle, is a grueling one, with the exception of the stunning Scottish scenery.

All the funds raised from the race of around 720 participants, is donated to organizations throughout the Highlands. The record time for the race is three hours and 13 minutes. It has yet to be broken.

She has also made headlines for landing on the “the most fascinating people of 2011” list on the annual ABC TV special “Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011”. The special is set to air on Dec. 14.

"Obviously her sister will be involved and Pippa is keen to play a part too," added the source. "Nothing has been signed yet but she has been getting advice from a discreet PR firm, who are working out which steps to take."

If selected, she will be alongside her sister and royal brother-in-laws Prince William and Prince Harry, who have already confirmed.
