'Pitch Perfect 3' news: Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Britney Snow, and Hailee Steinfeld return
The movie "Pitch Perfect 3" has just been confirmed after the success of the first two films that launched an interest in acapella singing. The films "Pitch Perfect" and "Pitch Perfect 2" grossed $113 million and $282 million worldwide, respectively, which is why Universal is capitalizing on this success.
The upcoming film will see stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Britney Snow reprise their respective roles. The movie will be written by Kay Canon, who wrote the script for the first two movies, and while it has not been confirmed if Elizabeth Banks will direct the film, she will be producing it alongside Paul Brooks and her hubby Max Handleman.
Actress Hailee Steinfeld has confirmed that she will reprise her role in the new movie. She was the newest addition to the Barden Bellas in the previous film Pitch Perfect 2. Steinfeld is genuinely excited to be back. "I'm in. I can't wait! It's all happening," she said.

Actress Rebel Wilson gave a few ideas for the forthcoming movie. She said that it would be interesting if the Bellas become a legitimate singing group after college. She also said that the backstory of her character Fat Amy would be nice, as well.
The next film could definitely follow the Bellas as they enter the real world and their life after college. Fans know that Anna Kendrick's character Beca wants to become a music producer and work in Hollywood. So, following the path of the gang after they graduate is entirely plausible.
Kay Canon, the writer of the first two films, also mentioned her plans for the third movie. She said that she would not want to give her so-called baby to someone else. She also said that she would love to have Tracy Morgan in the movie and she could definitely write a part for him.
In the meantime, there will be virtual auditions that will determine who joins the cast of Pitch Perfect 3, and this means that fans of the film can become part of the new movie. The most creative lip sync will win a walk-on role. Fans just have to create a dubsmash of their favorite song from Pitch Perfect 2.
Pitch Perfect 3 is scheduled for release on July 21, 2017.
