'Planet Coaster' Spring Update: New Features to be Available This April
In about a month's time, fans of "Planet Coaster" will see additional features in the construction and management simulation video game via its upcoming Spring Update.
According to GameSpot, Frontier Developments has announced that new contents will be available in the free upgrade scheduled to be released on April 11. The Spring Update reportedly includes three new rollercoasters, including the Steel Hydra, the game's first suspended swinging coaster. Meanwhile, Trident is one of the game park's two new shuttle coasters, while the Bakasura, an inverted boomerang coaster, is its "bigger, badder brother."
Gamers who have been wanting to construct their own Go Kart tracks will be able to do so. Other additions to the game include three new flatrides: the Elixir Machine, the Big Wheel and the ZoZo. The Elixir Machine is a contraption that can spin, swing and twist 360 degrees. Big Wheel, on the other hand, is a classic ferris wheel. The long-armed ZoZo is also described as a vintage ride.

Crime and security features will also be included in the update.
According to Tom's Hardware, some guests will eventually feel unhappy and start vandalizing the park's decorations. There are even some who will steal from other visitors. Dealing with the unwanted guests will reportedly be easy as long as gamers deploy their own security staff. CCTV cameras may also be installed to keep watch on possible rule breakers. Keeping the park crime-free is necessary or else the happiness ratio among the guests will drop.
"Dissatisfied guests may vandalize park scenery, and pickpockets will infiltrate your park to steal other guests' cash," Frontier's press release reads. "A crime-ridden park will see guests' happiness fall along with your profits, but security guards and CCTV cameras are on hand to keep park guests safe and prevent mischief-makers from spoiling the fun."
