Planned Parenthood News: Boehner Appoints New Committee to Investigate Abortion Trade
In efforts to further look into the movements of Planned Parenthood, House Speaker John Boehner created a new panel that will focus on looking deeper into what the abortion industry is doing to America.
"Recent videos exposing the abortion-for-baby parts business have shocked the nation, and demanded action. At my request, three House committees have been investigating the abortion business, but we still don't have the full truth," Boehner said on Friday.
Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee, will lead the new panel, including seven other GOP lawmakers, and will be in charge of the efforts to quench the practices of selling baby parts and baby tissue to interested buyers. Boehner said the panel will be given "subpoena power" in all its activities and necessary actions to be taken for the cause of halting the abortion for baby parts.

Boehner's announcement is only one of the actions taken by lawmakers against Planned Parenthood after the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a series of undercover videos that revealed how the largest abortion organization has been making profit from the so-called "donations" of entities and individuals buying baby parts.
The anti-abortion society immediately expressed support for Boehner's move, including Father Frank Pavone, national director for Priests for Life. According to the Christian Broadcasting Network, he has sent letters to each of the newly appointed members of the panel, letting them know that Priests for Life is pledging full support and assistance to the actions that the committee will take in relation to the abortion trade.
Chairman of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, has since declared that her organization will stop receiving money for fetal tissue transactions, following the rage of multiple anti-abortion groups.
According to the Washington Examiner, Boehner's most recent move will most likely be considered as one of his last and biggest contributions to the society ever since he sat as House Speaker. The House will be voting for a new speaker on Thursday, following Boehner's announcement earlier that he is planning to retire in the coming week.
