'PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds' News: On the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 Release
Recent reports have revealed that after a long wait, the Xbox One version of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" is finally on its way.
Developed by Bluehole Studio, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" is one of the most loved games in the community. It has received a lot of positive reviews from critics and fans alike, and although the final version has yet to be released, the popular game title has already achieved many milestones, including the title of being the best-selling game for PC.
"While the Xbox Game Preview version will be launching with vaulting included, it won't have the desert map for a while yet. Mainly because we need to test it and fix it, it's still in early development and while we're showcasing it for PC it will still require months of work to really polish it off and find those niggly areas on the map. It's just the way it goes with open world development," said game director Brendan Greene. "It's our goal at the end of the day to keep them aligned and keep the same experience across both platforms."
Further reports also revealed that the game's executive producer Chang Han Kim has said that the Xbox One version of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" will have different roadmaps, despite being developed at the same time. Over time, it Is expected to reach the development level of the PC version. However, for the meantime, fans of the console and the game title will have to make do with what is available until the developers manage to figure out the technicalities.
Considering that Microsoft made an unexpected appearance at the usually Sony-centered Paris Games Week this year, some of the fans also hoped for an announcement on the PlayStation 4 version. Unfortunately, no official word has been released as of yet.
"PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds" will be available in the Xbox Game Preview Program on Dec. 12.
