'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' News: Devs Continuing Their Efforts to Eliminate Cheating in the Game

Players found cheating will be permanently banned

With a game as popular as "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," it is almost inevitable that at least a few players are going to want to gain unfair advantages.

Unfortunately, those players who are using cheats have made things not as fun for those who prefer to abide by the rules.

That is why the game's developers are set to introduce some new elements designed to level the playing field for everyone.

A new post on the game's Steam page detailed what the developers were planning to do to curb cheating.

The developers shared that they are set to adopt new tools that were designed to quickly identify those players who are cheating. To be more specific, these tools will take note of a player's gameplay patterns and use those to determine if the individual being observed is cheating or not.

Once unusual gameplay patterns have been observed coming from a specific player, the account associated to that person will be suspended temporarily and developers will conduct an investigation.

If investigators conclude that the player did cheat inside "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," then that individual will be banned permanently.

Some of the new anti-cheating tools that developers will use to pinpoint players trying to gain unfair advantages are already live on the test servers.

Developers urged players to also report any bugs they may encounter while the new anti-cheating tools are being tested to see if these may impact gameplay.

While the developers are already looking to catch cheating players with these new tools, they did acknowledge that not all of them are going to be identified right away. Developers have vowed to continue trying to find better ways to spot cheating players in the game so that their accounts can be suspended and even banned.

More news about the additional anti-cheating tools that will be deployed inside "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" should be made available soon.
