"Tharsis" comes in January

Choice Provision's "Tharsis" makes its way to the PS4 next year. In a post at the PlayStation Blog, co-founder Mike Roush reveals that the game will be available on Jan. 12, 2016. "Tharsis'" gameplay features a Mars mission, dice, and cannibalism.

The studio started working on the turn-based strategy game more than two years ago. Responding to a commenter, Roush reveals the single-player game was inspired by a documentary on the whaling ship Essex and "Packing for Mars" by Mary Roach. Roush talks more about their inspiration for the game in the video below.

"Xing" is a first-player adventure game that features puzzles amid beautiful landscapes. In the game, players take on the character of a dead person who must "figure out who you are and what you must ultimately do."
