PlayStation 5 Rumors: Will This Be the Last of Sony's Popular Consoles?
Gaming continues to be one of the most efficient luxuries that man has been given to kill time and enjoy friendships and family ties, but with the massive increase of technological developments, the consoles that gamers once loved may be extinct in the near future.
One of the most common names in the gaming industry is the PlayStation. Ever since the first console was released, Sony saw victory over victory with each new version. However, the fast-paced world seems to take a toll on consoles. This is especially true not just for the PlayStation but other consoles as well including the Xbox One.
For the most part, Sony and Microsoft are the two leading companies that fans know very well. Both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 get more and more games each month. This allows for some players to just rely on their version of the consoles and wait for games to release.
Experts then started believing recently that the upcoming PlayStation 5 may be the last in the PlayStation industry. VR technology is the latest buzz in PS5 discussions, and as almost everyone already knows, it is already slowly becoming possible not only in gaming consoles but also for phones, tablets, and computers.
It should be noted that phones now offer almost the same experience that consoles do in terms of gaming. Experts think that Sony should do more than just providing gaming tools for consumers if it wants the PlayStation consoles to remain a hit in the near future.
Aside from the possibility of VR technology being integrated in mobile phones and computers, a new version every 5 to 7 years with pretty much the same thing to offer isn't something that will make consoles an interesting topic.
While it is true that the gaming industry has helped boost the economy as the demand continues to rise, it could also be a possibility that players will see a world of gaming wherein only mobile phones and computers are used.
