PlayStation Experience 2017 Schedule, Tickets News: Pricing and Events Information Revealed

The PlayStation Experience 2017 event is Sony's big event for this year, and this convention is a particularly important one. This December, Sony looks to counter Microsoft's new Xbox One X console with their own reveals.

Sony has so far revealed just the venue and the event dates for one of their biggest conventions this year, when they announced the overall PlayStation Experience 2017 schedule back in June during E3 2017.

In a new blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment director Sid Shuman laid out the details of their December event. The update listed out some of the big names in gaming that will be hosting panels during the event, as well as the activities that will be held in the two days starting Dec. 9.

The opening presentation will be hosted by PlayStation Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden, according to Tech Radar. That much is expected; what fans were more happy to see was the list of "special guests" who will be revealing updates for some of the most anticipated games on the PlayStation.

Among these games, some new introductions include "Dreams," a much-awaited update from Media Molecule that was first unveiled at E3 2015. Two years later, the "Little Big Planet" developer has a few updates to share about their highly anticipated new title.

Tickets for both days of the event are now available, as Sony shared in their video update. These cost $75 each and covers admission for the regular schedule over both dates. The regular schedule starts on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m.to 10 p.m. local time, and resumes on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Participants must also be 18 years old or up to attend, and kids or infants will not be accepted, even when accompanied by parents or guardians.

The video below shows the online video announcement Sony made for their PlayStation Experience 2017, which is set to happen in Anaheim, California from Dec. 9 to Dec. 10.
