PlayStation Plus April 2017 Free Games: 'Drawn to Death,' 'Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime'
The April lineup of games for the PlayStation Plus monthly free offerings has been posted at their official blog. The brand-new arena shooter "Drawn to Death" and the couch co-op game "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" lead the list of six games available, free of charge, to PlayStation Plus subscribers for the month of April.
PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 Pro) owners have four free titles to choose from this coming month, while PlayStation 3 (PS3) players have a couple of games coming to their console. It's the same case for PlayStation Vita users, who have two games they can pick up for free this month for their platform of choice, according to Destructoid. There has been a mixed reaction to the revealed list of choices coming this April, however, with some news outlets and fans calling the inclusion of "Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom" and "Alien Rage – Extended Edition" to next month's list as an uninspired move from the company.
"Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" was also featured in the Xbox Live Gold free game offers last February. As a co-op 2D space shooter, it's been called "a clever and fun 2D space-shooter that can teach us something about cooperation," according to IGN.
"Drawn to Death" will be a launch title joining the PlayStation Plus in a few days. From David Jaffe, acclaimed developer behind "Twisted Metal," the title challenges the usual arena shooter conventions with its hand-drawn, notebook doodle-style graphics and exciting new gameplay mechanics.
Here's the full selection of free games coming in April for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as listed on the recent PlayStation blog announcement: "Drawn to Death" and "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" for PS4; "Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom" and "Alien Rage – Extended Edition" for PS3; "10 Second Ninja" and "Curses 'n Chaos" for PS Vita (crossbuy on PS4).
