Playstation Plus Free Games October 2014 List: PS Plus Predictions for PS4, PS3, PS Vita Include Assassins Creed Black Flag

Sony is set to unveil its new line up of free games for PlayStation Plus for October 2014.

The new set of free games is set to go live on October 8, 2014, and the full announcement of games and what makes the new list will be announced later this week on October 1, 2014.

It has been reported that Driveclub will be added into the regular PS Plus allocation of two games each for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4, as well as the PlayStation Vita.

Driveclub of course is a popular racing game developed by Evolution Studios, and focuses on road racing.

Sony's Fred Dutton has said on the PlayStation forums, "There's loads of content included. Do try it out – I think you'll have a great time with it, and at no additional cost to your wallet."

The new list of free games for PlayStation Plus for October 2014 is rumored to include the following, although of course the official list will not be available until later this week:

Steamworld Dig
Assassins Creed Black Flag

Resident Evil: Revelations

The new October 2014 PlayStation Plus free games list will be looking to compete with Games With Gold, which is a similar subscription games service run by rivals Xbox Live. Their line up was unveiled on Thursday:

- Chariot ($14.99 ERP): Which is available from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31 for Xbox One

- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ($19.99 ERP): Which is available from Oct. 1 to Oct. 15 on Xbox 360

- Darksiders 2 ($39.99 ERP): Which is available from Oct. 16 to Oct. 31 on Xbox 360
