PlayStation Plus News: 'Rain World,' 'PaRappa The Rapper Remastered,' 'What Remains of Edith Finch' at Discounted Rates
Each gaming console is trying to make things interesting and appealing to keep fans invested and happy. As such, Sony's PlayStation (PS) is releasing a new game promotion over at the PS Store for digital download preorders, and it rewards loyal PS Plus members with exclusive discounts.
In a PlayStation blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment America Digital Games Business manager Brian Fujimoto is introducing what they call "Play Collective," a new name for campaigns and sales revolving around digital games. There are six new digital games arriving in the upcoming weeks, and preordering provides a sweet deal.
Each of the upcoming titles coming to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) comes from varying genre, meaning one game will provide a different type of experience with that of another. In order of release, the games are "Everything" (March 21), "Rain World" (March 28), "PaRappa The Rapper™ Remastered" (April 4), "Cosmic Star Heroine" (April 11), "Full Throttle Remastered" (April 18) and "What Remains of Edith Finch" (April 25).
Out of the list, one of the most popular is the mind-teasing survival game, "Rain World." In this game, the player takes on the role of a nomadic slugcat separated from his family. He strives to survive in a harsh ecosystem where bigger beings see him as prey, although his actions will dictate which among them can be his allies. It's not just the larger predators that pose a threat, but even the downpour of rain can crush bones.
For musically inclined gamers, "PaRappa The Rapper™ Remastered" is shaping up to be a real treat. Returning on its 20th anniversary, the title brings back nostalgic tunes coupled with better graphics, new tracks and features that will immerse players even more to the beat.
Last but not the least, "What Remains of Edith Finch" is a first-person narrative adventure that allows the player to discover why Edith is the only one left in her family. She unravels the mysteries behind her history and why everyone else is dead, making it something worthwhile for those who enjoy deep and twisting plots.
For fans of digital titles, there is no better time than now to be a PlayStation Plus member and preorder these games.
