'Homefront: The Revolution' New Trailer Released, Features Philadelphia Setting and Weapons
Upcoming open world first-person shooter video game "Homefront: The Revolution" isn't coming until May but developer and publisher Deep Silver has released some teasers to the game ahead of its release date to bring the hype up. According to Metro UK, the latest trailer titled "Ignite" showed the storyline of the game which kicked off with the oppression that is happening in the setting, which is in Philadelphia.
Later on it showed the resistance taking down the enemy depicted in blowing up everything in sight and shooting. The trailer basically highlighted the new "Hearts and Minds" gameplay feature. Another video has also been released and this time it's longer and there is more depth. Titled "Guerilla Warfare 101," the clip runs for almost four minutes and it covers a lot of what to expect in the game including the setting, weapons modification, gameplay, features and more.
The narration of the video said that players of the game will be able to modify their weapon on the fly. There will also be a "Guerilla Toolkit" which is a term used to refer to things like IEDs, a hacking tool and an explosive R/C car. Moreover, it detailed that each gun will be incorporated with three configurable sections that will permit the player to make their own weaponry. This means that they can turn a regular shotgun into a gun that tosses fire at the KPA. Modification is featured in the single-player campaign and in the co-op mode.

As for the storyline of the game, IGN reported that the game focuses on the dystopian vision of 2029. It's when the North Korea has gained the reputation of being the world's major electronic and military equipment manufacturers and exporters. This lead the American government to purchase everything without knowing that the pieces delivered to them came with a code that caused chaos and invasion to the country.
"Homefront: The Revolution" is slated to arrive on May 17 in North America and May 20 in Europe. It will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
