'Pokémon GO' Gen 3 Release, New Updates: First Batch Coming Next Month?

There have been a lot of talks as regards the imminent arrival of the third-generation Pokémon in "Pokémon GO," the latest teasing the possibility of it starting on Halloween.

According to Slash Gear, Niantic Labs will conduct a Halloween-themed event next month, which would mean that Ghost types will likely enjoy a reign of terror.

Like last year, the studio is expected to increase the spawn rates of Ghastly, Haunter and Gengar. Misdreavus is also added to the mix, but it is admittedly not the most exciting Ghost-type Pokémon in the game at the moment so its inclusion might not add as much in the event.

This convinced Express UK that the "Pokémon GO" Halloween event will also be a perfect opportunity for Niantic to let loose a new set of Gen 3 Pokémon belonging to the category.

This means that the likes of Shedinja, Sableye, Shuppet and Banette as well as Duskull and Dusclops could find their way to the game in time for their favorite time of the year.

Of course, nothing is set in stone yet. Slash Gear believes that it is more likely that Niantic is bringing the Dark Pokémon front and center in making this "Pokémon GO" Halloween event a more enjoyable one.

If this will be the case, the highly sought-after creatures like Umbreon and Eevee might be made more common throughout the occasion, which will definitely make players happy seeing how it can be extremely difficult to secure one without the help of events like this.

This also means that Dark Pokémon like Houndour, Houndoom, Murkrow and Sneasel can also end up being the star of the "Pokémon GO" Halloween event.

Whether the affair will mark the entrance of the Gen 3 creatures to "Pokémon GO," it is believed that gamers will not wait that long to see the first batch pop up anyway.

After all, Niantic has already been preparing for their arrival, with codes referencing to some Gen 3 Pokémon found in the game files a few weeks back.
