'Pokemon Go' Halloween Event is Now Live
Ghost-type Pokémons are to roam around Niantic's augmented reality game until the 2017 Halloween event is ongoing. Moreover, the company has taken the opportunity to launch the highly-anticipated Generation 3 during the second annual event.
Halloween is underway in "Pokemon Go." The event kicked off on Friday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. PDT and should last until Thursday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. PDT.
Ghost-type Pokemon originally from the Hoenn region will be making their way in time for Halloween. Generation 3 creatures such as Sableye and Banette should appear for the first time in "Pokemon Go." And as revealed in the teaser, Duskull and Dusclops will also be making their way to the mobile game.

Niantic has assured players that more creatures introduced in the "Pokemon Ruby" and "Sapphire" video games will gradually be popping up in the game as early as Dec.
The developer says that gamers should also expect more of spooky Pokemon like Gastly, Cubon, and Misdreavus to appear. A special Pikachu, one dressed in a Halloween costume to be exact, will also be on the prowl.
To make the event more festive, Niantic has allowed players to dress their avatars up with Mimikyu's Disguise Hat. Throughout this Halloween special, players will be able to collect Candy twice as fast. While trick-or-treating with one's Buddy Pokemon will generate extra Candy, hatching, catching, and transferring Pokemon will produce double the amount.
"Last but not least, you'll have the opportunity to stock up for your upcoming adventures with special boxes from the in-game shop, featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators," the team wrote.
Apart from the Halloween event, players can still participate in the ongoing AR photo contest, which will last until Wednesday, Oct. 25. The best in-game photos shared will be rewarded with cool prizes.
