'Pokemon Go' Latest Update: Datamine of New App Version Reveals Pokemon From 'Ruby and Sapphire'
The new "Pokémon Go" update has been put under the microscope by avid fans, and the latest findings reveal some interesting new additions that are apt for the upcoming Pokémon Halloween Events.
A huge find by The "Silph Road" Pokemon fan community in Reddit revealed a new, Halloween-themed loading screen for "Pokémon Go." This seasonal image happens to feature Pokémon from "Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire," hinting at more classic pets being added to the mobile game in the coming weeks.
In the image itself, the Ghost-type Pokémon Dusclops, Shuppet, Banette, Duskull and Sableye make an early appearance, as IGN recaps. These Pokémon were first introduced in the Hoenn region in the third set of "Pokémon" games, which made their debut via the Game Boy Advance as far back as 2002.

The Silph Road team dove right into the v0.79.2 update of "Pokémon Go," putting the newest APK file meant for the Android version of the game through a detailed teardown.
On the surface, there are the usual fixes, including those for the Raid Lobby. Diving deeper, however, the team discovered exciting new updates. There's a bit of news, too, as the teardown revealed a notification that postpones the upcoming "Pokémon Go" EX Raids for later, presumably after the less-than-glowing feedback from some venues.
The team discovered sound assets for the third generation Pokémon, strongly suggesting that Niantic is getting ready to put them into the game. The sound files covered all species introduced in "Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire," even up to Deoxys, the featured legendary Pokémon in those games.
Further investigation also revealed Halloween variants, which are now being debated if it applies to the Pokémon, the gyms, or both. As a throwback to the third-gen games, the Hoenn region makes a return as well with the night theme music of Lavender Town, perfect for this month.
