'Pokemon GO' Legendaries Rumors & Updates: Possible Locations for Mew, Mewtwo & Legendary Birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres Found? How to Catch Legendaries [DETAILS]
To Catch 'Em All, You Got to Get The Legendaries Too
There have been rumors that Pokemon legendaries Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are just around.
Maybe legendary Pokemon in "Pokemon GO" are elusive for a reason. With the way is going, some players are having a hard time catching rare pokemon successfully. So what does this say of legendary Pokemon? They're extremely hard to find and even harder to catch because you need to have the skill, equipment and a powerful team of trained Pokemon to capture them.
Where to Find "Pokemon GO" Legendaries
The presence of Legendary Pokemon became a full-fledged rumor when Nintendo and Niantic announced that there will be three times in "Pokemon GO." Those teams are Team Mystic, Team Valor and Team Instinct. Those three teams are represented by one of the three legendary birds, Articuno for Mystic, Moltres for Valor and Zapdos is for Instinct, Forbes reported.
If these teams were represented by the legendary birds, it's not too far-fetched that other Pokemon Legendaries in "Pokemon GO" like Mew and Mewtwo might exist as well. There have been many claims that they have seen a glimpse of one of the legendaries in "Pokemon GO" but there are no photos to back up as their proof.
The trailer for "Pokemon GO" contains features and events that are not yet live in the game. It's not hard to imagine that special monsters like Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are prized and therefore it will take a lot more than just running around town to capture them.
The outlet believes that these Pokemon Legendaries will only come out during game events for "Pokemon GO." Special events such as competition or championship could definitely be a possibility as well.
How to Catch Legendary Pokemon in "Pokemon GO"
According to Eurogamer, Niantic may have taken a page off of their previous game "Ingress." They have created special events for these games and are rewarded based on how they did. This means that Legendary Pokemon like Mew, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres will most likely not be found in the wild, Comic Book noted.
To catch a Legendary Pokemon, you must have a pretty good level and a reliable team of Pokemon you can count on during a battle. Since these rare monsters might only show up on official "Pokemon GO" events, holding a gym or increasing the rank might help in securing a spot for the chance to be entered in these speculated events.
