Pokemon Go: Most Powerful Monsters and the Hardest (Arguably) to Catch So Far; Monster Rarity and Second Gen to Come?
Pokemon Masters Trying to Catch Them All are Having a Hard Time With Some Pokemons
"Pokemon GO" has become more than just a viral hit, it has become a global phenomenon and players are scurrying to catch all 151 first-generation Pokemon.
Some Pokemon are harder to catch than others, that much is true. Players in countries where "Pokemon GO" has officially launched are encountering different types of Pokemon: common, uncommon, and rare. For the uninitiated, rare type monsters and above are harder to catch because they need a bit of skill and equipment.
"Pokemon GO" Monster Rarity
In a nutshell, the point of collecting Pokemon is to establish a team that could be trained and groomed to become powerful enough to win in battles against players. Naturally, rare Pokemons are prized more than the common ones.
When you encounter certain types of Pokemon all the time, it is a pretty good indicator that these are the common ones. According to Forbes, majority of "Pokemon GO" players are getting Doduo, Pidgey, Rattata and Caterpie. There may be variations of common Pokemon depending on where you live.
How to Get Rare Pokemon in 'Pokemon GO'
Your trainer level in "Pokemon GO" plays an integral part in the game. The level is determined by Combat Points (CP) and you raise this by basically doing what every Pokemon master training should do: Go to PokeStops, obtain and train wild Pokemon, hatch Pokemon eggs, battle with other players, and more. This means that the bigger the CP, the higher the chance of encountering rare Pokemon.
Legendary monsters like Mew, Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno still remain elusive so far.
Second Gen "Pokemon GO" to Be Released?
In games such as "Pokemon GO," it is not hard to imagine that there'd be someone who has already almost completed their Pokedex with the exception of the Legendaries. In line with this, will Niantic be releasing second gen Pokemon in the game?
The Bitbag notes that Niantic has not released any information regarding the second-gen monsters despite numerous questions and inquiries from fans. The second may gen may contains a hundred more Pokemon and give players a lot more monsters to hunt and look out for.
The rumor may just become a reality as Twinfinite points out that some gamers have noticed a Kanto medal. This medal is only for players who have more than 151 Pokemon in their Pokedex. The name of the medal is also significant as the original Pokemon game started out in the place of the same name.
Would it be possible for "Pokemon GO" to have medals for other places including Johto and others?
