'Pokémon Go' News: More EX Raid Passes Being Given to Players All Over the World

Players participating in EX Raids may be able to encounter Mewtwo

The time that many "Pokémon Go" players have been waiting for may have already arrived, as they may soon be able to join an EX Raid and subsequently do battle with one of the most powerful Pokémon.

EX Raids, previously known as Exclusive Raids, were announced for the game last month and are unlike the ones players may have been a part of in the past.

In order to gain entry into an EX Raid, a player must first receive an invite for it. Invitations are given to those players who manage to defeat Raid bosses at Gyms where EX Raids will take place soon.

Some players here and there have reported receiving invites, better known as EX Raid Passes, in recent weeks. Recently, it appears that developers have been able to make these passes available to even more "Pokémon Go" players.

Over on r/TheSilphRoad Subreddit, players from different parts of the United States and from all over the world have reported receiving EX Raid Passes.

Of course, there are some not as fortunate players who have yet to get their hands on the coveted EX Raid Pass, and that likely means they will have to take part in some more normal Raids to improve their chances of finally obtaining one.

For those players who were lucky enough to already have a pass and know exactly when the EX Raid will go live, they will want to prepare adequately as there will be a big challenge ahead of them.

As revealed previously by the developers, Mewtwo is an EX Raid boss. Successfully finishing the EX Raid could mean that participants will now have a Mewtwo to call their own.

Other powerful Pokémon may also be made available to players via EX Raids.

More news about EX Raids and "Pokémon Go" should be made available in the near future.
