'Pokémon Sun and Moon': Players Hit Global Mission Bonus Goal of 400,000 Hatched Eggs

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" players have successfully met the goal of the global mission bonus. As of the latest update of the game, players were able to hatch 20,000 eggs, hence meeting the target of 400,000 hatched eggs in total.

The fifth global mission for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" went live on Monday, March 27. Since the event is still ongoing, players still have a chance to get 2,000 FC points, 4,000 FC points and a Love Ball if their games are tied to a Pokémon Global Link (PGL) account.

The goal of the event is for players to hatch a minimum of 200,000 eggs. To get started, the player has to pay a visit to the Festival Plaza and talk to the castle's receptionist. After talking to the receptionist, he/she should go straight to the Paniola Ranch to start hunting for eggs.

The player gets to discover eggs when he/she leaves Pokémon at the Pokémon Nursery, located either on Akala Island or at Paniola Ranch. The Pokémon Breeder stationed outside the Nursery discovers eggs if the player leaves a male and female Pokémon that belong to the same Egg Group. An egg also becomes discoverable if the Pokémon is left with a Ditto.

As soon as the player gets the egg, he/she should walk around with it and wait until it finally hatches. Since waiting for the egg to hatch takes a while, players who cannot wait for it to hatch have the option of keeping a Pokémon with the Flame Body or Magma Armor Ability so the egg hatches twice as fast.

Trainers are able to earn 2,000 Festival Coins and PGL members earn 4,000 if they hatch 200,000 eggs. If they fail, they only get 200 and 400 Festival Coins, respectively.

Hitting the bonus target of 400,000 hatched eggs allows PGL members to get a Love Ball. Also, if a PGL member fails to hit the goal but contributes at least three hatched eggs, he/she gets a reward of five Rare Candies.

The fifth global mission will run until Monday, April 10. "Pokémon Sun and Moon" are currently available on Nintendo 3DS.
