"Pokken Tournament's" Local Battle Mode
In related news, the official Hori website has revealed brand-new information about the upcoming game from Bandai Namco. Hori is the creator of the unique "Pokken Tournament" Wii U controller.
In its listing for the controller, Hori detailed that the game will have a Local Battle mode. The listing is in Japanese, but Pokemon-centric site Serebii explains the local multiplayer mode for those who can't read Japanese. According to the site, only one Hori controller can be used in any local multiplayer game. So in the Local Battle mode, Player 1 will use the Wii U controller to see the game, while Player 2 will use the TV screen to view the game.
"Pokken Tournament" is a fighting game that sets Pokemons to battle each other in matches, similar to that in "Tekken," across various arenas and environments. The game will be released in Japan on March 18, 2016 and is coming to the West sometime in spring.
