Poppy Montgomery's Daughter Violet 'Super-Mellow,' Actress Says

Poppy Montgomery's daughter, Violet, makes her worldwide debut in the latest issue of "Life & Style" magazine. The little girl is described as a "beautiful angel" by her mother.

Violet Grace Devereux Sanford arrived on Monday, April 22, much to the delight of her parents, actress Poppy Montgomery and her boyfriend, Shawn Sanford. She joined brother Jackson, 5, at home.

"We are overjoyed with the arrival of our beautiful angel and filled with gratitude that she is happy, healthy, and thriving," the couple told People after Violet was born.

Now, just months later, the baby is the pride and joy of her mother, who returned to the set of "Unforgettable" just one month after the birth. The show is now in its second season.

"We moved from L.A. to New York a mere three weeks after Violet was born, and I started shooting 'Unforgettable' the week after that," Montgomery told "Life & Style." "Thank goodness Violet is a super-mellow baby and rolled with all of it beautifully. She is our little mascot on set!"

Montgomery and Sanford have separate responsibilities when it comes to taking care of their daughter, and Sanford is apparently an expert when it comes to diaper changing.

"Shawn does all the diapers! When I put them on, they leak, so Shawn banned me from diaper duty," Montgomery explained.

She and Sanford have been together since 2011 but have not announced any plans to marry. For now they are content being a family of four with Montgomery's son Jackson from a previous relationship.

Montgomery starred on the popular series "Without a Trace" for several years before it was canceled. She now stars on the CBS series "Unforgettable" with Dylan Walsh and Michael Gaston. Montgomery blogged throughout her pregnancy for People magazine as part of their online content and shared her experiences for nine months.

Sanford is an executive who works for the Microsoft Corporation.
