Porsha Williams 'Doing Great, Looking to Clear Name' After Arrest

Porsha Williams turned herself into a Fulton County jail and was released on a $2,000 bond stemming from misdemeanor simple battery charges.

Williams, the 32-year-old "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, had a warrant out for her arrest before turning herself in to take a mugshot with a smile in a face full of makeup. The charges were brought against Williams by fellow "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kenya Moore, who she reportedly assaulted on the set of the show's reunion special.

Despite the arrest, sources told E! News that Williams is "doing great."

Williams representatives explained the charges brought against her.

"She is charged with one misdemeanor count of simple battery stemming from an incident that occurred during the taping of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion episode," her representatives told E! "Cast member Kenya Moore sought out the warrant and, although the claim is unfounded, Ms. Williams is fully cooperating with investigators and looks forward to clearing her name."

Moore, the 43-year-old former beauty queen, was allegedly assaulted by Williams after the former reportedly continued to mock the latter's public divorce from former NFL player Kordell Stewart. After sources like Radar Online, Us Weekly and TMZ shared the news complete with accounts of what took place from anonymous witnesses, fans will get the opportunity to witness their encounter this Sunday on the reunion episode.

Moore previously spoke up about the matter on Twitter.

"#TeamTwirl one thing u will NEVER see me do is fight," Moore tweeted. "Your brain and tongue are your most powerful weapons."

Bravo Network executive Andy Cohen hosted the reunion special and commented about the rumors concerning Williams being booted from the series due to the altercation.

"In terms of casting for next season, we haven't made any of those decisions yet.We wait until the season is over, over, over," Cohen told Bravo's The Dish. "We kind of regroup. We look back at the season. We look ahead to what these women have going on in their lives and that's when we assess."
