Despite having many challenges in the English Premier League, Chelsea looked impressive in their European debut this year.
In their match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Willian only needed 15 minutes to break the goalless draw and give the Blues the lead.
Oscar found the back of the net thanks to a penalty kick in injury time of the first half before Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas finished the game by scoring to make it a 4-0 victory.
This gave manager Jose Mourinho enough room to breathe as they started well in the big tournament despite falling extremely short of expectations in their defence of the Premier League title.
Now the Blues face a tougher opponent as they travel to Portugal to face Mourinho's old club.
As for the Portuguese outfit, they battled Dynamo Kyiv in their first group stage match and had to settle for a draw in an exciting game.
Porto found themselves down early in the match as Oleg Gusev gave Kyiv an early lead.
Three minutes later the game was tied after Vincent Aboubakar scored his first goal of the game.
The score remained the same until the last 10 minutes of regular time when Aboubakar scored his brace in the 81st minute of the contest.
Looking like they were going away as winners, Kyiv spoiled it with a goal by Vitaliy Buyalskyy with one minute left in regular time.
Now look for Porto to do a better job against a tougher opponent and go atop the leaderboard with a win over Chelsea.
