Season 5 is still a ways off but "Power" recently teased a potential plot twist for the upcoming installment. The series suggested that Joe Proctor (Jerry Ferrara) may turn into a huge threat to James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). In the show's official Twitter page, a photo of Proctor and Ghost was posted with the caption, "Is Proctor a threat or an ally?"

The previous installment saw Ghost doubt Proctor's loyalty after seeing him having a conversation with U.S. Attorney Mak (Sung Kang) about Bailey Markham's (Lee Tergesen) unexpected disappearance.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Courtney A. Kemp said the next season will see Ghost Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Kanan (50 Cent) join forces to take down the new big bad, Dre (Rotimi Akinosho).

"I guess the best way I'd tease season 5 — it's the season of the triumvirate versus Dre, and I think that's going to be the most fun of all," she said.

The fifth season of "Power" is expected to premiere early 2018 on Starz.
