The estimated winning Powerball jackpot for August 10, Wednesday is $67 million with a cash option of $46.5 million.
No one was able to win the jackpot prize in the last Powerball drawing last Saturday, August 6. The winning numbers for last week were 20, 33, 36, 47, 52. The Powerball is 12 and the Powerplay is 3X. The former jackpot prize of $52 million has increased to $67 million and everyone who bought their tickets for the August 10 drawing has the chance to win the grand prize.

While no one was able to win the $52 million prize last Saturday, there were notable minor winners. There were two ticket holders from Wisconsin and California that matched all white numbers. They each won $1 million but they would have increased their winnings if they opted for the PowerPlay option. There were 599,714 winners in the August 6 drawing, according to the official Powerball website.
Powerball drawings happen weekly every Wednesday and Saturday night. The winning numbers are drawn at 11 p.m. Eastern Time. Five white balls ranging from 1 to 69 are drawn and 1 red ball is drawn from a drum with balls ranging from 1 to 26. Winning the Powerball jackpot prize is by matching all five white balls and the red ball.
Nine Ways to Win Powerball
Other than the jackpot prize, there are minor prizes as well. There are nine ways to win and those who match all five white balls get the second prize at $1M. Those that can match at least 3 white balls and the red Powerball can win $50,000. Players that can match the four white balls will win $100, three balls equals to $7 and two white balls plus the red Powerball is also $7. The lowest prize is $4 where winners match the red Powerball or 1 white ball and 1 red. The odds of winning any prize are 1 out of 25.
There is also the PowerPlay option where players increase their winnings based on the multiplier. This option is not applicable for the jackpot. Each Powerball ticket costs $2 and the PowerPlay option costs $1.
