President Donald Trump's Approval Ratings Latest News: Performance Ratings Hits All-Time Low
President Donald Trump's approval ratings have sunken to a new low in his presidency.
Only 33 percent of the 1,500 national adults interviewed for the Gallup poll are happy with the commander-in-chief's performance. Before this, the lowest Trump has received in the pollster company is 34 percent.
This was in the middle of the hurricane crises that the country has faced, with many dissatisfied of how he handled the situations. In between, Trump is always entangled with issues weekly with the head of state usually taking to Twitter to express his views.
As the approval rating for Trump goes downhill, the disapproval rating is also increasing the latest now at 62 percent, which is the highest in the Gallup poll.
Meanwhile, Trump fares well in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll compared to Gallup but this week also marked his lowest approval rating yet.
Only 38 percent approve of the job Trump has been doing, which beats his lowest score yet by one percent. On the other hand, 58 percent are unhappy about his performance. He is
"This is his worst showing of his young presidency so far," Democratic pollster Fred Yang of Hart Research Associates said of the result. He went on to say:
Are we starting to see the fraying of the Trump base ... after this week of [Republican] infighting?
Trump's worsening performance in the polls comes as no surprise to many seeing that his presidency has been marred with issues and controversies.
The result of the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll also serves as the lowest lowest in modern times for a president at this stage of his presidency.
To compare, during the fall of their first year as president, Trump's predecessor Barack Obama was at 51 percent while George W. Bush was at an impresive 88 percent. Bill Clinton was at 47 percent.
