'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6 Spoilers: Emily 'Has Two Secrets' And 'A Sprinkling' Of A Love Interest, Showrunner Reveals

"Pretty Little Liars" returns next Tuesday to continue its sixth season and when it does, the story will pick up five years from when viewers last saw the Liars.

In Episode 11, "Of Late I Think of Rosewood," the girls will be heading back to their hometown at the request of Alison (Sasha Pieterse), who wants them to be there for the court hearing of Charlotte (Vanessa Ray). A new teaser for Season 6B shows Emily (Shay Mitchell) arriving at her parents' home and asking her mother about Greg, Mrs. Fields' new boyfriend.

"We're taking a little break," her mother answers. "It was just time for a break," she says, before suggesting that they talk about it over tea and disappearing inside the house. Emily follows, but not before gingerly touching a flag attached to a window, honoring her father who passed away sometime in the years the series jumped over.

In the "5 Years Forward" special that aired in November, "Pretty Little Liars" showrunner I. Marlene King revealed a major detail about Emily's story in upcoming episodes, saying, "I think Emily comes back with the biggest secret."

King expounded on her revelation in a recent interview with Variety, saying, "She really has two secrets." "One of the secrets informs the other," she added.

As for whether or not Emily will have a love interest this season, in the same Variety interview, King answered, "A sprinkling of one." Though the "Pretty Little Liars" boss couldn't confirm if an Emison reunion is in store for Season 6, she said, "I really do believe that by the time we get to the end of next season, most of our fans will be happy with where we go."

The main cast of "Pretty Little Liars" also includes Ashley Benson as Hanna, Lucy Hale as Aria, Troian Bellisario as Spencer, Tyler Blackburn as Caleb, Ian Harding as Ezra, Laura Leighton as Ashley, and Janel Parrish as Mona.

"Pretty Little Liars" continues its sixth season with "Of Late I Think of Rosewood" on Tuesday, Jan. 12, the same day that ABC Family changes its name to Freeform.
