'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6A Spoilers: Plot Wraps Up, Second Half Plot Hints
After six long years, one of TV's greatest mysteries has finally been solved. "Pretty Little Liars" aired its last episode for season 6A on Aug. 11, 2015 and speaking of "A," fans have turned to social media to vent out mixed reactions and comment on the big reveal of who A was.
While some expressed appreciation and liking to the turnout of events, a lot also were dismayed that A was revealed to be CeCe Drake, also known as Charles, who transitioned to Charlotte, and was going by CeCe as she got to know — and torment — Ali and her friends.
The episode 10 titled "Game Over, Charles" put an end to Charles DiLaurentis' story. The show will then take a long hiatus before it comes back for the second half of the season 6, reports Yibada. Now that the mystery has been solved, the show will take a five-year jump and enter a new season of the Liars' lives—adult life. All the girls will be set in a different place when PLL returns for season 6B in early 2016.
Looks like a long agonizing wait for the loyal followers of the show, but as usual, little details on what will happen in the upcoming season are being revealed including a spoiler plot. Sasha Pieterse. who plays Alison DiLaurentis, told Entertainment Weekly earlier in June that it's going to be a whole different world for the girls. Next season's show will showcase the girls' lives post-college years.
The show creator Marlene King also revealed in EW that the girls will be one year out of college by then. Huge changes will come to them.
"We made that decision so they would have a year to finish school and firmly root themselves into their desired careers, so their wardrobe and hair and makeup and styles reflect where they are professionally in their lives," King explained.
King also shared that the girls lived a stress-free life for five years since their tormentor is already gone. However, they will face new challenges as lot of new mysteries will unfold before them.
