'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6B Cast News, Update: New Title Sequence Adds Sasha Pieterse
It's been going on for quite some time now - the news about the new opening sequence for the second half of the sixth season of ABC Family's hit teen drama TV series "Pretty Little Liars."
As promised by executive producer Marlene King, the new PLL intro would be refreshed to coincide with the time jump and the new direction that the show will be taking.
The five-year time jump would see the PLLs now in their early 20s with an addition of Sasha Pieterese's Alison DiLaurentis. The character was previously shown lying inside the coffin.
In the most recent updates, King went over to her social media to share a snap of the main cast members preparing for the new photo shoot. They were shown with their backs turned away from the camera while wearing black dresses.
"#TBT to the day we shot the new PLL opening title sequence with @itsashbenzo @lucyhale @sleepinthegardn @sashapieterse27 @shaym #Season6B #JanuaryPremiere #prettylittleliars #FiveYearsLater," the caption to King's Instagram post reads.
According to Melty.com, the new intro sequence will now see Alison standing in the middle. She was seen standing next to Emily (Shay Mitchell) and fans are speculating and also hoping that the two will get along together despite Ali already being married.
As for the rest of the Rosewood girls, King told The Hollywood Reporter (via Design & Trend) that viewers will get to find one character getting married and needless to say, she might be referring to Ashley Benson's Hanna Marin who is thought to be engaged to a guy other than Caleb (Tyler Blackburn).
For Lucy Hale's Aria Montgomery, it is assumed that she will either end up as a writer or a journalist as what the new teaser hinted. In the video, she was seen sitting in front of a computer with some document folders piled up behind her.
Spencer (Troian Bellisario), meanwhile, could be working her way into politics.
