Meanwhile, she also shared details on what her character will be up to in the return. It was revealed that the character will be focused on promoting her first book now that she is thoroughly involved in the publishing world. In addition, she will also have a new love interest in the upcoming episode. But Hale shared that she will still have Ezra at the back of her mind.

She explained, "Where they sort of left off, she's going away to college. That's what happens, you break up with the person you love, you go in different directions, and so I don't really know what their contact was in those five years. I want to say they probably didn't talk at all, because there is a scene in an episode back where she realizes he's back in town and you can tell there's still that butterflies-in-her-stomach feeling. But she's in a relationship, she's very happy and in love."

Hale did not provide any other information about her new love, but she did share that Aria will share many episode with Ezra. With that, fans can expect their relationship to be perceived as more mature compared to before.

The second part of the season is expected to return on Jan. 12.
