'Pretty Little Liars' Season 7: Holden Returns; A.D.'s True Identity to Be Revealed
The second half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 is just around the corner and more hints about the new episodes are already circulating online. Recently, it was confirmed that Shane Coffey will be returning to reprise his role as Holden.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 7B is expected to see the return of some characters and to answer some of the mysteries that remain unanswered at this point in the series. Among the characters teased to make a comeback soon is Holden, whose presence in the drama has long been missed by fans.
Photos from the upcoming series that were released previously feature Aria (Lucy Hale) as she sits next to Holden on a bench. In the photo, the two seem to be sharing a good chat. As Holden returns for the new episodes, fans can expect him to bring some surprises. It can be recalled that before he temporarily left the series, Holden had to pretend to be Aria's boyfriend so he could cover for Aria and Ezra's (Ian Harding) student-teacher relationship.
Aside from Holden and Aria's friendly moment, another photo also reveals Ezra and Holden being introduced to each other. It remains to be seen how Ezra and Holden will treat each other in the new episodes, but the photo shows them warmly shaking each other's hands.
Meanwhile, the new episodes will also reveal how Spencer (Troian Bellisario) has been since she was shot in one of the previous episodes. Before the series took a hiatus, she was seen struggling to remain awake while on the way to the hospital.
In an interview with TV Guide, Sasha Pieterse, who plays Ali, said viewers will get to know more about A.D. in the new episodes.
"Once you know who A.D. is, it all makes sense. This person targets the girls in a very different way than the As have before. It's much more personal and much more violating," she said.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 returns on Tuesday, April 18, 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
