'Pretty Little Liars' Season 7B: 'Huge Twist' to Come
"Pretty Little Liars" will soon come to an end. But before the premiere of the second half of its final season, the showrunner and some of the cast members recently previewed what is to come, which includes a "huge twist."
Showrunner I. Marlene King teased as much when she appeared alongside some of the show's cast at the PaleyFest recently. "I hope you guys are satisfied with this huge twist we give you," she said to a shocked audience (via Deadline). However, King did not explain what she meant by her statement, nor did she reveal anything else related to this "huge twist." It looks like fans will have to wait and see.
Thankfully, the creator and cast members did preview a few things about what fans can expect from the back half of season 7. First of all, King thanked the fans for sticking by them throughout all the years they have been on air. And to show how much she means it, she described the second half of the last season as a "love letter to the fans." She also added that the final 10 episodes answer all of the questions that they remember leaving open.
As for the characters, it can be recalled that Sasha Pieterse's Alison is currently pregnant. And while Pieterse admitted that they do not know the identity of the father, it was made clear that the big reveal will happen in the end. Ian Harding, who plays Ezra, also revealed that his character's relationship with Lucy Hale's Aria is a complicated one. And while he believes that they "can overcome anything," it remains to be seen how they will get there.
The second half of the final season will see the liars dealing with the mysterious A.D., whose identity has yet to be revealed. When A.D. eventually takes center stage, though, King teased that he or she will have a "relatable" story.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 7B premieres on Tuesday, April 18, at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
