Prince George Losing Interest in School, Prince William Says
Prince George, 4, no longer wants to go to school. His father Prince William revealed that the boy is losing interest following his first few weeks at Thomas's Battersea in London.
Prince William shared this detail to a fellow parent while visiting a community in Milton Keynes this week. Mom Louise Smith told reporters that the Duke of Cambridge said to her that he dropped off George to school that morning and the child "did not want to go."
Smith could very well relate to Prince William as she also has young children, Sophia, 3, and Holly, 1.
"[Prince George] sounds a bit like mine really," the 31-year-old mom said.
Prince George started prep school at Thomas's Battersea last Sept. 7. Back then, Prince William said he was relieved that his son's first day of school went well.
Prince William might know why Prince George is slowly losing interest. He said that the school drop-off line every morning can get very boring for a 4-year-old and they have to wait like every other family.
"We are all seeing how long that lasts before he doesn't want to go," Prince William revealed.
Prince William and his wife Princess Catherine (Kate Middleton) want to be hands-on parents to Prince George, thus they are committed to doing school runs every morning. But since school started, the Duchess has yet to bring her son to school since she needs complete bed rest in the first few terms of her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Prince William also revealed that his wife is coping with severe morning sickness by eating ginger biscuits. But the symptoms of Hyperemesis gravidarum, such as nausea and vomiting, seem more severe for her third pregnancy.
The princess is due to give birth by spring next year. The baby will become the fifth in line to succeed Queen Elizabeth to the British throne after Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
