Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Dating News: Couple Stayed in for Valentine's Day

Prince Harry and "Suits" star Meghan Markle spent their first Valentine's Day in what might be the most intimate way possible. For the couple, nothing could be better than simply staying in for the romantic holiday.

A source told Us Magazine about the couple's plans: "Harry and Meghan are together at Kensington Palace," the informant said of the pair's Valentines plans, adding that "Tonight, she and Harry are staying in for Valentine's,"

Even then, 35-year-old Markle still took the time to look back a year ago and what Valentine's Day meant to girls like her back then. She re-posted a feature she wrote on her lifestyle blog, "The Tig," about how to "Be Your Own Valentine."

"I think you need to cook that beautiful dinner even when it's just you, wear your favorite outfit, buy yourself some flowers, and celebrate the self-love that often gets muddled when we focus on what we don't have," Markle wrote.

As for staying in, the place referred to would be Prince Harry's cottage home within the Kensington Palace complex. Even before Valentine's Day, Meghan Markle has reportedly been spending a good amount of time in the royal's Nottingham Cottage.

The Nottingham Cottage was once home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, following their wedding in 2011. Two years later in 2013, Prince William and Kate Middleton have moved in to the Kensington Palace itself on a permanent basis. Prince Harry has taken over the small home ever since.

A source for Us Magazine gives an idea of how often the American actress has been around: "It's become Meghan's home away from home ... All the security know her, she slips in and out whenever she likes."

Since late December, Markle has been dropping by London to visit the British royal. Aside from the rare dinners in exclusive spots in the city, Harry and Markle have been mostly "chilling and enjoying lazy days together," according to a source familiar with the couple's activities.
