Prince Harry Celebrates Birthday With Meghan Markle, Couple to Make First Official Appearance at Invictus Games
Prince Harry recently marked his 33rd birthday with girlfriend Meghan Markle in a low-key celebration.
Despite his royal status, Prince Harry opted to celebrate his birthday in an intimate setting. The prince was with Markle over the weekend for his birthday bash in London, a source confirmed to E! News. "Harry doesn't like to make a fuss of birthdays so he liked that it was just the two of them. Sometimes it doesn't have to be a huge thing with a group of friends," said the insider.
The pair reportedly spent time together ahead of Prince Harry's 33rd birthday on Sept. 15. They decided to celebrate early since Markle could not be with him on his actual big day. As of Monday afternoon, Markle is back in Toronto to complete her scenes for the second half of "Suits" season 7.
Markle is the cover girl of Vanity Fair's latest issue. In an interview with the magazine, the jet-setting actress shared how she deals with tabloid rumors being thrown her way.
"I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it's really simple," she explained. "We're two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people's perception."
The "Suits" star further said nothing about her having "changed," stressing how she is still the same person. She also mentioned that she has never let her relationship with Prince Harry define her character.
Prince Harry and Markle will not be away from each other for too long. The prince is scheduled to attend multiple official engagements in Toronto, home of his rumored fiancée, in late September. He is also heading to the Canadian city for the annual Invictus Games, where he is expected to make his first public appearance with Markle.
