Prince Harry Will Not Sue Hotel, Photographer for Nude Photo Scandal
Prince Harry has decided not to sue the hotel or the photographer responsible for taking nude photos of the royal while he was in Las Vegas earlier this month. Buckingham Palace has issued a statement confirming his plans to deal with the situation.
"We remain of the opinion that a hotel room is a private space where its occupants would have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Prince Harry is currently focused entirely on his deployment in Afghanistan, so to pursue a complaint relating to his private life would not be appropriate at this time and would prove to be a distraction," the statement read.
Harry is, in fact, back with his military unit in Afghanistan and has been made the target of reported kidnapping and death threats made by al-Qaida. The prince has been protected and kept safe, though the threats remain credible and his unit is still at risk.

The Palace, meanwhile, has had a much higher-profile situation to deal with, regarding topless photos of Duchess Kate. The wife of Prince William was photographed topless while on a vacation at a private villa in the south of France.
The publication of those photos led to Prince William bringing a lawsuit against the French Closer magazine. He won an injunction against publication and received all the original copies of the photos, per the court's order.
Other magazines, however, have stepped forward to publish the images, despite the Royals' call to respect the Duchess' right to privacy in a private residence.
The episode was particularly painful for Prince William who still remembers the paparazzi's role in the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who was killed in a high-speed car crash in France. Many blamed the way the paparazzi were hounding and chasing Diana before and at the time of the crash.
