Prince William, Duchess Kate Looking for New Nanny

Prince William and Duchess Catherine are reportedly looking for an extra nanny to accompany them on their first trip abroad with baby George. The nanny will be joining the royals as they travel to New Zealand and Australia and assist head nanny Jessie Webb, 71 in caring for the little prince.

According to reports, Webb's contract is up but both William and Catherine want her to stay with their family. Webb came out of retirement to specifically care for George; she previously cared for his father, William, and Uncle Harry when they were both tykes. She was one of the consistent presences in their lives, and William thought highly enough of her to ask her to carry for his first son.

"It took a lot of persuading to get Jessie to take the job in the first place, but she loves William and wanted to help out," a source told Daily Mail. "I can't imagine that she will want to be traveling around the world at her age. If she does, she will need an assistant."

William and Catherine have been fiercely protective of their family and have not allowed a lot of people into their home to help on a daily basis. Right now it only consists of nanny Webb, housekeeper Antonella Fresolone and hairdresser Amanda Cook Tucker, who occasionally visits the Palace to prep Catherine. The new parents have had the help of Catherine's parents and family while raising George and even lived with the Middleton family immediately following George's birth.

"Carole (Middleton) is very involved," the source noted. "She often arrives without warning" and apparently visits the family several times a week.

According to royal watchers, Catherine may want to hire a lady-in-waiting to help her during her trip abroad. Queen Elizabeth never travels without one and may likely encourage her granddaughter-in-law to hire one to assist her with wardrobe and preparation for official visits to the two countries.
